FAQs

Is Community Health Alliance a new organization?

No. Though initially re-named Foundation for Community Health in 2015, Community Health Alliance is the successor organization of Community Medical Center Foundation. Although we now have a new mission and do not operate for the benefit of Community Medical Center, Community Health Alliance continues to build on a rich history of supporting health initiatives in Western Montana. Gifts given during our time as Community Medical Center Foundation were delivered on or retained by our organization to support our mission.

Is Community Health Alliance connected to Community Medical Center?

No. After the sale of Community Medical Center to a for profit institution in 2015, we now operate for the benefit of greater western Montana and are not affiliated with Community Medical Center.

Did Community Health Alliance receive all the assets from the sale of Community Medical Center?

No. Community Health Alliance is separate from what has become Headwaters Foundation, the private foundation that is receiving all of the Community Medical Center sales assets. Our organization did not receive any assets from the sale.

Can I make a charitable contribution to Community Health Alliance?
