Our Endowments | Donors
Community Health Alliance manages and administers permanent endowments to advance healthy lives in western Montana. Proceeds from some of our endowments can be used for priorities as determined by our Board of Trustees, and others are restricted to certain health needs. Montana’s Endowment Tax Credit can make endowment gifts even more attractive to donors.

R.H. “Ty” Robinson Legacy Club
Membership in the R. H. “Ty” Robinson Legacy Club celebrates our donors who have included Community Health Alliance in their will or trust, have given securities, or have made a planned gift such as a charitable gift annuity or trust. A Charitable IRA Rollover Donor
One of our donors noted, “When doing my estate planning and rewriting my Will a few years ago, I was told that my IRA could be taxed up to 75% at the time of my death. This high percentage of taxation appalled me. Montana Endowment Tax Credit
“The Montana Endowment Tax Credit has allowed us to make bigger gifts than we could have any other way. You don’t have to have a lot of resources to make a significant, lasting difference.” Individuals who make a planned gift to a Community Health Alliance permanent endowment can receive up to a $10,000 Montana income tax credit. “My commitment to a community hospital for the people of Missoula was born in 1948 when I served as legal counsel for the Missoula Mercantile. I was part of a core leadership group who rallied Missoula citizens to purchase the Thornton hospital and, over the years, to build what has become Community Medical Center. The people of this region have been our stakeholders in the ever-evolving care and education provided by physicians and staff in our community. I have experienced the miracles of renewed health and compassionate care firsthand. Being active in the life of our foundation gives me the opportunity to provide and encourage support for advancing healthy lives in Western Montana.”
