Need-based car seats
Safe Kids Missoula helps ensure every child is safe in the car by providing car seats to families who are unable to afford one or who may be navigating a crisis situation. As funding and inventory allow, we offer seats at no cost and pair each family with a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician to guide proper installation and answer questions. Our goal is to make safety accessible, supportive, and reassuring—especially when families need it most.

Home Safety Kits
Safe Kids Missoula provides Home Safety Kits to families who need support creating a safer living environment. Each kit includes essential items such as carbon monoxide alarms, medicine lock boxes, outlet covers, gun locks, and more to help reduce common risks in the home. We distribute these kits through local home visiting programs, ensuring that families receive not only the tools they need, but also individualized guidance and conversation with a trusted professional who already knows their needs and circumstances.
*If you are in need and are not working with a family support specialist, call us.
Gun Locks
Safe Kids Missoula works with our local chapter of Moms Demand Action to provide education and free gun locks to encourage responsible firearm storage. We know that secure firearm storage helps prevent unintentional firearm injuries — like injuries that happen when a curious young child finds an unsecured firearm and hurt themselves or someone else. It can also help prevent suicide by eliminating or slowing access during moments of crisis. Our goal is to make sure everyone knows the steps they can take to reduce these injuries, and have access to gun locks to store firearms securely.
If you need a gun lock, call our office at (406) 926-2522, and check out our Secure Firearm Storage page for more information and links to a variety of resources!
