Empowering Montanans to Live Healthier Lives

Community Health Alliance’s Health Education programs give families and communities the knowledge and tools to prevent illness and injury before they happen. From teaching sun safety to leading statewide child injury prevention efforts, we work to create healthier futures for all Montanans.

Health Education Programs

Since 2001, the Be Sun Smart program has educated western Montanans about skin cancer prevention and early detection. Supported by the Steven Robinson Memorial Endowment, this initiative shares life-saving resources on sun safety, melanoma awareness, and monitoring changes in skin health.

Community Health Alliance leads both Safe Kids Missoula and Safe Kids Montana, working to protect children from preventable injuries. Through statewide partnerships, local coalitions, and community education, these initiatives provide families with resources and advocacy to keep kids safe at home, on the road, and at play.
