Making a Car Seat Appointment
Car seat checkups with Community Health Alliance are available by appointment Monday through Friday and typically take about 30 minutes per seat. Whenever possible, we encourage families to bring their child to the appointment. If the child can’t attend, having a general idea of their height and weight is helpful.
To schedule, call us at (406) 926-2522 and we’ll help you find a time that works.
Car seat checkups are also offered through the following community partners:
Missoula Rural Fire District: Checkup events are held on the second Saturday of each month. Call (406) 549-6172 to make an appointment.

Car Seats for Families in Need
Safe Kids Missoula helps ensure every child has a safe ride by providing car seats to families who are unable to afford one or who may be navigating a crisis situation. As funding and inventory allow, we offer seats at no cost and pair each family with a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician who will guide proper installation and answer questions. Our goal is to make safety accessible, supportive, and reassuring—especially when families need it most.
Families who use public assistance may also qualify for a car seat through Drive Safe Missoula. To learn more or check availability, call (406) 258-3880.
